Andrea Orciani

Lawyer - Founding Partner - Florence Office

Andrea Orciani was born in Fano on 6 December 1964. After graduating in Law from the University of Florence, he practiced law and notary activities. He was registered with the Bar of Florence in 2000 and began his career as a freelancer.

Since the early years of the profession, he has worked with the Tuscany Regional Council as a consultant of the Tuscan Ombudsman.
In 1993, as head of the legal department of the Florence office of Alcatel, a telecommunications multinational, he was mainly involved in domestic disputes, in-house training, and national and international contracts.
In 1998 he was appointed Chief Legal Officer of the Industrial Group Prada, coordinating and managing the legal department.

Since 2000, he has been working at MDM Law and Tax firm in Florence, which he co-founded, and is active in many areas, both in litigation and ongoing corporate counsel. Specifically, he handles disputes in the corporate, logistics and transport fields, as well as disputes in comparative private law, the distinctive logos of companies, problems relating to workplace safety, and corporate administrative liability.

He is an adjunct Professor of Political Science at the American Pepperdine University and provides advice and legal assistance to the US Consulate in Florence. He has also been teaching commercial law at the Specialisation School for the legal professions of Florence since 2005.

As a speaker-coordinator, he has taken part in workshops on Italian products organised by the Italian Chambers of Commerce and is the author of a number of publications, including "Law and Fashion" and, in recent years, he has been involved in the fashion emergency legal service at the Florence Chamber of Commerce.

He speaks and works in Italian and English.
